2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL Is Lengthy, Quite Lengthy | Carscoops

More than just an elongated version of the Escalade EV, the IQL features a distinctive rear end and is capable of producing up to 750 hp.

Cadillac has unveiled the 2026 Escalade IQL, which is 4.2 inches longer than the standard model.

While many elements are retained, the luxury SUV showcases unique rear pillars and a more vertically oriented rear window.

Equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that generates 750 hp, the IQL can cover 460 miles on a single charge.

The Cadillac Escalade lineup is expanding, both literally and figuratively, with the introduction of the 2026 Escalade IQL. This extended variant of the large electric SUV starts at a price of $132,695.

Priced significantly higher than the standard model, the Escalade IQL builds on the standard EV, adding an extra 4.2 inches (107 mm) in length. At an overall length of 228.5 inches (5,803 mm), it exceeds the gas-powered Escalade ESV by 1.5 inches (38 mm), making it one of the longest production vehicles currently available. With a wheelbase that remains at 136.2 inches (3,460 mm), the additional space primarily benefits passengers in the third row.

As a result, the power folding third-row is now more accommodating for adults, with legroom increasing from 32.3 inches (820 mm) to 36.7 inches (932 mm). Passengers in the rear also gain an extra inch (25 mm) of headroom. For those more focused on cargo capacity, there is up to 125.2 cubic feet (3,546 liters) of space behind the first row, an increase from 119.2 cubic feet (3,375 liters) available in the standard model.

The Interior Retains Its Signature Escalade Appeal, With Some Modifications

Beyond the extra length, the IQL largely mirrors the typical Escalade IQ. Nevertheless, the design of the C- and D-pillars is exclusive to the IQL, providing a larger area of third-quarter glass. The rear liftgate also takes on a more vertical appearance, moving away from the angular design of the regular model.

Despite the range of styling modifications, the front end remains consistent, and the SUV is equipped with substantial 24-inch wheels. Additionally, this model includes an eTrunk capable of accommodating an extra 12.2 cubic feet (345 liters) of luggage.

Interior modifications are subtler, with the availability of Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport trims, each featuring their typical equipment. Cadillac did not provide extensive details, but highlighted that drivers will benefit from Super Cruise, a 21-speaker AKG Studio audio system, and a generous 55-inch pillar-to-pillar display. Additional features are expected to include heated and ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, and a heated steering wheel, along with a wireless smartphone charger, a five-zone climate control system, and an LED ambient lighting system.

For those inclined to be chauffeured, the optional Executive Second Row package is appealing. It includes two heated, ventilated, and massaging power seats, a central console with stowable tray tables, a rear command center, and dual wireless phone chargers. This package also provides dual 12.6-inch displays for passenger entertainment.

Performance and Range: It Offers Ample Power and Distance

The vehicle is powered by a 205 kWh battery pack, combining with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that delivers up to 750 hp (559 kW / 760 PS) and 785 lb-ft (1,063 Nm) of torque. This enables the luxurious vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.7 seconds and achieve an estimated range of 460 miles (740 km) on a full charge.

When the battery is running low, a DC fast charger can provide up to 116 miles (187 km) of range in just 10 minutes. Using a 19.2 kW AC charger, one can expect around 36 miles (58 km) of range per hour.

Production is expected to commence mid-year, and Cadillac has indicated that this model can tow up to 7,500 lbs (3,402 kg). Customers can also anticipate features like an Air Ride Adaptive suspension, Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, and vehicle-to-home bidirectional charging capability.
