The car could make its debut later this year and potentially be the fastest AMG ever made.

Mercedes is expected to reveal an electric supercar concept later this year.

This enigmatic model might feature a solid-state battery and axial-flux motors.

The supercar is anticipated to be the quickest-accelerating AMG produced to date.

Mercedes recently shared its intentions to launch a variety of new and updated models, including 17 electric vehicles (EVs) and 19 models with internal combustion engines. While specific details were not provided, the company did affirm plans for a revamped GLC and refreshed versions of the GLE, GLS, and S-Class. An electric E-Class and a smaller 'baby' G-Class are also on the agenda.

With such an extensive lineup, a new report indicates that Mercedes-AMG is developing an electric supercar concept. According to Autocar, this unique model aims to redefine 'electric performance' and highlight future performance potential.

As a company insider noted, “Where the EQXX aimed for maximum efficiency, this is designed for maximum speed. It will be the fastest-accelerating vehicle AMG has ever created.”

Specific details remain scarce, but it appears that the car may take inspiration from the One-Eleven concept, which was unveiled in 2023. The report also mentioned that this model will preview the company’s next-generation electric powertrain technology, including the axial-flux motors, which are expected to appear in production models, including a new high-performance crossover.

We can also anticipate the incorporation of the latest battery technology, potentially a solid-state unit. This seems plausible, as Mercedes has recently started testing a modified EQS featuring a solid-state battery that offers a range of up to 621 miles (1,000 km).

In addition to the concept, the report indicated that the redesigned CLA is set to be revealed next month, followed by the CLA Shooting Brake. The updated GLB is expected to launch in late 2025, while the closely related “G-Class” is likely to debut in 2027.

The latter model will reportedly be based on the MMA platform, with indications that single and dual-motor variants could be available. This would be somewhat surprising, considering the G-Class is well-known for its off-road capabilities, but the smaller G model is said to be more focused on luxury.

Moreover, in 2026, Mercedes is expected to introduce a “comprehensively” overhauled EQS that will adopt the S-Class name. This new model will reportedly utilize the MB:EA Large platform; however, previous reports suggested that development on this platform had ceased and it was to be completely scrapped.
