Lanzante has teased a limited edition vehicle that recognizes their victory at Le Mans in 1995.
Project 95-59 commemorates the McLaren F1 GTR and is set to debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The car features a central driver's seat and boasts a power-to-weight ratio of 700 hp per ton.
Lanzante and McLaren have a complementary relationship, having previously introduced several notable models, including a limited edition P1 Spider. They are back with a new vehicle known as Project 95-59.
This enigmatic name pays homage to Lanzante’s 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans victory with the #59 McLaren F1 GTR. Three decades later, the company intends to celebrate that achievement with what they describe as their “most ambitious project to date.”
Currently, Lanzante has not disclosed much information, but they have confirmed that the vehicle will be a “limited-run, bespoke-engineered model based on a McLaren platform.” The company mentioned that it will feature a three-seat arrangement with the driver positioned centrally. The model is also expected to offer considerable luggage capacity and aims for a targeted power-to-weight ratio of 700 hp (522 kW / 710 PS) per ton.
The design is credited to Paul Howse, who has previously worked with McLaren, contributing to the exterior designs of the P1, P1 GTR, and 720S. His collaboration with Lanzante on the P1 Spider likely explains the car's OEM-like appearance.
Details about Project 95-59 remain sparse, but a sketch indicates it will feature distinctive bodywork and prominent rear fins. The design also includes a flowing glass roof and a substantial front splitter, complemented by aggressive side skirts and what seems to be a rounded rear wing.
