The Lynk & Co 08 is built on Geely's CMA Evo platform, which is also utilized by the Polestar 2 and Volvo XC40.

The starting price for the Lynk & Co 08 is €52,995 ($55,600), and it will launch in Europe this June.

This model offers a pure electric range of 124 miles (200 km) with a 39.5 kWh battery pack, and the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in just 33 minutes.

It's been almost two years since the Lynk & Co 08 was first introduced, and after a lengthy wait, it is set to arrive in Europe. It will be available exclusively as a plug-in hybrid starting in June at a price of €52,995 ($55,600), boasting an impressive all-electric driving range of 124 miles (200 km) for eco-conscious consumers.

The Lynk & Co 08 is based on the same CMA Evo platform as other Geely vehicles, such as the Polestar 2 and Volvo XC40. While many important specifications for the European model have yet to be revealed, it is expected to feature the same configuration as the Chinese variant, which includes a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a 39.5 kWh battery pack, resulting in an electric range of 124 miles (200 km) and an overall driving range of 683 miles (1,100 km).

In China, Lynk & Co offers both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions of the 08, with the all-wheel drive version equipped with two electric motors. However, details regarding which PHEV powertrain will be available in Europe have not yet been disclosed; it is known that the battery will charge from 10% to 80% in 33 minutes.

Competing in the competitive D-segment SUV market, the 08 stands out with its striking and unique design. Like all models from the brand, it features LED daytime running lights that resemble a falcon’s talons, with the main headlights located along a strip below the hood shut line. The front grille is black, complemented by wheels adorned with intricate aero covers designed to enhance efficiency.

A side view of the 08 showcases black wing mirrors, a black roof, and a sharp black accent on the front door. Similar to many modern vehicles, the door handles are flush with the body. The intriguing design continues at the rear, featuring LED taillights, a light bar, and a sporty black diffuser.

Inside, the 08 reflects the specifications of the Chinese model, which includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an impressive 15.4-inch central infotainment display. Notably, Lynk & Co has included an enormous 92-inch head-up display, ensuring that information is always within view.

In Europe, the 08 will come in two trims: Core and More. While the specific differences between the trims are still unclear, it seems likely that one caters to those preferring simplicity while the other is aimed at those desiring all the advanced features. Regardless, the 08 is packed with technology, and the 92-inch head-up display will help users manage all the information at their disposal.
