Peugeot is preparing to introduce performance variants of the E-3008 and E-5008.
These models will be equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system delivering a total of 321 hp.
Additionally, a five-seat version of the E-5008 is expected to be launched in the first half of this year.
Recently, Peugeot discreetly unveiled plans to enhance its electric vehicle range during their latest E-Lion Day, focusing on performance variants of the E-3008 and E-5008.
With their arrival anticipated in the coming weeks, these models will incorporate a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with a combined output of 321 hp (239 kW / 325 PS). The vehicles will maintain a front-mounted motor that produces 210 hp (157 kW / 213 PS), complemented by a new rear-mounted motor that generates 110 hp (82 kW / 112 PS).
In reference to the E-5008, the company is set to introduce a new five-seat version in the first half of 2025. This variant will offer 35.1 cubic feet (994 liters) of cargo space behind the second row, which is an increase of 2.8 cubic feet (78 liters) compared to the seven-seat model. When the rear seats are folded, the cargo capacity expands to 81.6 cubic feet (2,310 liters).
Though these updates may not be revolutionary, Peugeot noted that orders for their electric vehicles increased twofold last year. The French automaker also reported the highest growth in Europe for retail electric vehicle sales and claimed leadership in the electric B-segment.
Furthermore, the company emphasized the Peugeot Electric Promise, which ensures their electric vehicles come with an 8-year or 99,419-mile (160,000 km) warranty, as well as a wall box charger and a Free2Move Charge pass, granting access to nearly one million charging stations across Europe.
