2026 Jeep Recon 4xe Will Arrive Late This Year Featuring Trail Rated Moab Trim | Carscoops
Jeep has unveiled new images of a pre-production model of its upcoming EV, which is designed to stay true to its roots.
Just 23 hours ago, the company shared more information about the Recon, scheduled for launch later this year.
This electric crossover will come with off-road packages and a Trail Rated Moab trim option.
With expectations of utilizing the STLA Large platform, the Recon could deliver up to 600 horsepower.
The 2026 Recon 4xe made a brief appearance in Jeep’s Super Bowl advertisement, so it was anticipated that the company would create a new webpage for it. This site not only features fresh images of the forthcoming EV but also includes several key details.
Set to debut later this year, the Recon promises a "reimagined design" and a "luxurious interior." The automaker also hinted at "adaptable cargo options, practical capabilities, and user-friendly entertainment features."

While the Wagoneer S targets a different audience, Jeep has confirmed that the Recon will offer a Trail Rated Moab trim. Additionally, there will be various off-road packages designed to allow drivers to "navigate paths with no roads whatsoever."
Despite catering to different markets, the Recon and Wagoneer S are expected to share powertrains. This indicates that a 100.5 kWh battery pack could power a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 524 lb-ft (710 Nm) of torque. There may also be a performance variant boasting 600 hp (447 kW / 608 PS) and 617 lb-ft (836 Nm) of torque. Regardless of the final specifications, a range of approximately 300 miles (483 km) is anticipated.
Introduced in 2022, the Recon was announced as being "exclusively available as a BEV." Jeep also emphasized that the vehicle would include removable doors and a one-touch power roof.
Additional features are expected to encompass a Selec-Terrain traction management system, e-locker axle technology, underbody protection, tow hooks, and rugged off-road tires. Furthermore, there will be a Uconnect infotainment system that offers "detailed travel guides for the most prominent off-road trails."
