In December 2024, Mercedes-Benz presented a unique all-electric G 580 to the Pope, although it pales in comparison to this.

This remarkable G-Wagen makes the Mercedes-Benz G63 6×6 seem somewhat ordinary.

The luxurious cabin of this custom G-Class is adorned with plush white leather.

Carlex Design has not yet revealed the price of this stunning Mercedes.

Initially, Carlex Design gained recognition for its striking yet sophisticated interior enhancements for various luxury vehicles, but it has lately expanded its scope with more ambitious projects. Its newest creation is a spectacular six-wheeled Mercedes-Benz G-Class designed for the Pope, named Habemus.

So far, this extraordinary Mercedes model has only been shown through a series of renderings. While there have been numerous interesting interpretations of the G-Class over the years, none have been quite like this. It remains uncertain whether Carlex intends to base this model on a million-dollar G63 6×6 or modify a standard G-Class into a six-wheeler, though we believe the latter is the more probable option.

The front section of the Habemus resembles an ordinary G-Class, aside from the custom grilles, bumper, and eye-catching gold accents. However, things take a wild turn from the B-pillar back.

Behind the cabin is a spacious bed, which isn't meant for carrying tools. Instead, it features a large swiveling seat at its center. This configuration is reminiscent of the new all-electric G-Class Popemobile, but it offers significantly more space due to the extended wheelbase and additional rear axle. Four smaller seats are positioned alongside the bed.

Given Carlex's reputation, it’s no surprise that the cabin showcases a variety of premium materials. Most of it is covered in white leather, complemented by a lush red carpet throughout the bed. These custom elements, along with the golden accents, undoubtedly help this G-Wagen stand out.

We have contacted the Polish company to inquire about its intentions for the Habemus and whether it will materialize. If it does come to fruition, it's improbable that it will actually be utilized by the Pope, as only a few months have passed since Mercedes delivered a new G 580 EQ to him.
