Armenian and Russian brokers have been altering delivery routes for various luxury cars.
Police have apprehended a 41-year-old, a 53-year-old, and a 43-year-old in connection with the thefts.
A Rolls-Royce Dawn and a Ferrari 488 Pista were recently taken while in transit.
The theft of car transporters is becoming a growing concern across the United States, as criminals are increasingly targeting high-end vehicles during shipping. In Miami Beach, Florida, authorities recently arrested three individuals associated with a criminal organization believed to be responsible for stealing several exotic cars in recent weeks.
Among the stolen vehicles is a Rolls-Royce Dawn taken in January, which remains missing despite ongoing efforts. To dismantle the operation, police conducted a sting that ultimately led them to the suspects.

Investigators have disclosed that thieves nationwide are now focusing on dispatchers and transporters, infiltrating the computer systems of delivery companies to alter order destinations. In one incident, Florida police organized a delivery in Aventura. Three suspects arrived in a Bentley and a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, expecting to collect the keys to an orange Lamborghini Urus. However, they were met by the police and arrested on the spot.
The suspects were identified as 41-year-old Yuriy Korotovskyy, 53-year-old Arman Gevorgyan, and 43-year-old Hrant Nazarian. They were taken into custody and charged with grand theft, dealing in stolen property, and conspiracy to commit organized fraud. Authorities suspect they are part of a larger network collaborating with Armenian and Russian brokers to divert deliveries of luxury vehicles.
One of the victims in this scheme was Nader Eldamouni, whose Rolls-Royce Dawn was stolen while being transported from South Florida to Michigan. He notified the police about the theft, prompting them to initiate an investigation. Nevertheless, authorities have not yet found the vehicle.
Protecting Your Vehicle During Transport
Authorities are now recommending that car owners shipping vehicles across the country install GPS tracking systems on their cars before transportation. This basic precaution could make a significant difference in recovering your vehicle rather than dealing with the disappointment of a stolen luxury car. Recently, a Houston resident reported to 7News about a similar incident involving the theft of his Ferrari 488 Pista, which was rerouted and stolen in Miami.
While police had already been aware of this method of vehicle theft, they have underscored its rising occurrence “over the past few weeks.” Therefore, if you intend to ship a high-end vehicle soon, it may be wise to take that additional step to safeguard it.
