A heavily modified 1984 model is being marketed as a “Supra replica.”
It incorporates design elements from the Supra, R34 Skyline, and even features Lexus branding.
The asking price for this unusual custom creation in Indonesia is around $3,030.
Custom cars are popular among enthusiasts worldwide, but occasionally, one appears that truly challenges expectations—and perhaps common sense. According to the listing, this vehicle is a 1984 Toyota Supra. If that statement prompted you to do a double or even triple take, you’re certainly not alone.
Honestly, there’s nothing about this car that loudly proclaims “Supra,” or even subtly suggests it. The alterations are so significant that it’s hard to believe this was ever a Toyota, let alone a Supra. Let's analyze what we are actually observing and what online reactions have been to this extraordinary creation.

Located in Lampung Timur, Indonesia, this car features what is referred to as a “Toyota Supra replica body,” which presumably justifies its classification as a 1984 Toyota Supra. However, very little about this machine resembles any specific generation of the Supra. The headlights are perhaps the closest feature, particularly resembling the Mk4, yet even they are not particularly convincing.
Interestingly, the back of the car features wide, angular contours reminiscent of an R34 Nissan Skyline. In fact, the tail lights are strikingly similar to those of the R34. Moreover, the prominent Lexus branding beneath the badge completely alters the context. One Facebook comment even suggests that this vehicle is actually based on a 1984 Toyota Corona.
If that’s accurate, the modifications shown here are even more dramatic than they seem. The Corona is quite a boxy vehicle, and this combination does not appear to share any panels or glass that are consistent with the Corona. This doesn’t mean it isn’t a Corona, but if it is, the creator certainly put in extensive effort. In any case, we have no definitive information on the original donor car.

Regardless of its identity confusion, this custom vehicle is not merely a static exhibit. As noted in the listing, it is a working vehicle complete with functional air conditioning, power windows, and even a double-DIN audio system. Additionally, as with any extravagant build, the side skirts humorously display decals that say “Sport Car,” which is almost too obvious.
Depending on its actual performance and the condition of the interior, it could serve as a decent little vehicle, especially since the seller is only asking IDR50,000,000 (approximately $3,030 USD) on their Facebook Marketplace listing. For that price, you’re acquiring one of the most puzzling yet intriguingly fascinating custom cars available.
