This particular commission resembles a 1969 Le Mans entry, featuring a striking blue and green color scheme.

The AGTZ Twin Tail is limited to only 19 units globally, making it highly exclusive.

Built on the Alpine A110, this vehicle pays tribute to the 1960s Alpine A220 racer.

The detachable rear section allows for dual configuration options.

It has been a year since Zagato first unveiled its $700,000 Alpine A110-based AGTZ Twin Tail, and now, the first production example has premiered at the Rétromobile exhibition in Paris. No matter your thoughts on the car's hefty price, it is undeniably an attractive machine.

Production is strictly limited to 19 units worldwide, each inspired by chassis #1736 of the 1969 Alpine A220. True to its predecessor, the AGTZ Twin Tail features a deep blue finish with striking bright green accents on the front bumper and side skirts. The colors of the French flag are present on the roof and rear, enhanced by yellow trim for added contrast.

The most captivating aspect of the AGTZ Twin Tail is the easily removable longtail-style rear bumper. However, that is not the only feature that distinguishes it from the A110 on which it is based.

Zagato's skilled designers have reimagined the entire exterior to honor the A220. Notable features include custom headlights, a unique front bumper, and an eye-catching hood. Additional bespoke elements comprise a signature double-bubble roof, redesigned door panels, and distinctive windows. Complementing these features are striking aerodisc wheels, enhancing its retro-futuristic look.

Beneath the extravagant design, the AGTZ Twin Tail retains the 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine found in the standard A110, which is also used in the Renault Megane RS. In its regular configuration, it produces 300 horsepower, but Zagato provides an optional performance upgrade for those seeking greater power.

It remains uncertain whether this specific unit has received that upgrade, but even with 300 hp, it is quite capable, reaching 62 mph (100 km/h) in under five seconds and achieving a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
