Dodge Reduces Charger Daytona Lease to $299 with a $4,500 Down Payment | Carscoops
You'll need to be in one of the very few select regions to access such a deal.
Dodge has just launched its lease offers for February, and in certain parts of the USA, the new Charger Daytona is available for just $299 a month.
Conversely, most areas nationwide will see prices several hundred dollars higher, although they benefit from a lower initial payment.
These offers pertain specifically to the 2024 model year of the Charger and support previous speculation we've encountered.
Dodge has been distributing the new Charger Daytona to dealerships for several weeks, eager to observe market reactions to its inaugural fully electric model. Thus far, it seems that dealers are already reducing prices, with some discounting tens of thousands off the MSRP to sell these vehicles. Now, Dodge is also getting involved with some unexpectedly competitive lease offers.
The company has recently rolled out a leasing option that starts at $299 per month, as Stellantis confirmed to Carscoops. This rate applies to the base 496 hp Charger Daytona R/T AWD under a 24-month lease with a $4,579 down payment, based on an MSRP of $59,595, with an annual mileage cap of 7,500 miles. When you break down the numbers, the effective monthly cost amounts to $500 before taxes and delivery charges.
Initially, it's important to clarify that while this deal officially began on February 4, it's not particularly easy to find on dealership websites at the moment. In most regions of the US, Charger Daytona leases tend to be around $550 or more per month with varying down payments, generally below $4,500. However, there are specific locations, such as central Connecticut, where you can secure a Charger R/T for $299 a month with a $4,579 down payment. It is important to note that this is an “ultra low-mileage” lease with just 7,500 miles allowed per year.
For context, in December, Dodge offered an R/T lease for $549 per month over 36 months with 10,000 miles permitted annually and $4,999 due at signing, which effectively came to $688 per month before taxes and fees. Therefore, this new offer is undoubtedly an improvement—assuming you can locate it.
What About The Scat Pack?
If you're seeking greater performance, the Charger Scat Pack, featuring a 670 hp (679 PS / 500 kW) powertrain, is available for $399 a month with a $4,429 down payment based on an MSRP of $73,985. This results in an effective monthly cost of $584 before taxes and fees. While that down payment isn't insignificant, acquiring this type of vehicle without long-term concerns about reliability and value might make this offer appealing enough to consider the Charger. Keep in mind these deals are exclusive to the 2024 model year.
Similar to the R/T lease, expect to do a bit of searching. Our editor-in-chief discovered a Daytona Scat Pack priced at $79,690 MSRP from McGovern CJD in Acton, MA, and despite the same $4,429 down payment, the lease skyrocketed to an outrageous $1,532 per month for 24 months/7,500 miles! Good luck securing that lease.
Stellantis Employee Special Leases?
If this sounds familiar, you're not mistaken. A few days ago, a supposed Dodge manager shared online that employees would soon gain access to special lease offers on the Charger Daytona for as little as $268 a month with a $2,000 down payment.
That's an incredible deal for a vehicle priced around $70,000. Even more surprising is that this individual claimed employees could lease the Jeep Wagoneer S for just $129 a month with $2,000 down.
However, there’s no solid proof of this information at this time. That said, Dodge does publicly promote lease offers for Stellantis employees, and according to their website, residents of Detroit can currently lease a 2024 Charger R/T for $479 per month with a $3,713 down payment. If this is how 2024 is starting, it wouldn't be surprising to see even greater discounts if Charger sales don't pick up.
