In addition to new vehicles, those sold since January 1, 2021, may also be eligible for the 10-year warranty.

To benefit from the extended warranty, owners must have their vehicles serviced at a Nissan dealership.

Mitsubishi Australia offers a comparable 10-year warranty that also mandates dealer servicing.

Nissan has introduced a new capped-price servicing plan for its models in Australia.

If you purchase a new Nissan in the US, you'll receive a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty. Conversely, if you're in the UK and get a new Nissan, you'll receive a 3-year warranty, extendable up to 60,000 miles. In Australia, Nissan has launched a remarkable new warranty, offering an outstanding 10 years/300,000 km (approximately 186,000 miles) of coverage.

Nissan has traditionally provided Australian buyers with a five-year/unlimited-km warranty, and this new warranty expands on that. To receive the 10-year coverage, however, owners must service their vehicles at the appropriate intervals at a Nissan dealership.

Nissan Australia has also introduced a new five-year fixed-price service program. For models such as the Qashqai, X-Trail, Juke, and Pathfinder, the servicing cost is AU$399 (roughly $240) for the first five services, while the Patrol, Navara, and Z services are AU$499 (approximately $300) each. Owners of the Nissan Leaf benefit from a flat service fee of AU$349 (around $210).

“In challenging times and amidst a new car market filled with mixed messages, Nissan Australia prioritizes our customers,” stated Michael Hill, Nissan Oceania director of Aftersales. “The new service-activated warranty is Australia’s only 10-year 300,000 km warranty and is a leader in the industry. It's designed to provide our customers with peace of mind—knowing that Nissan has their back and is committed for the long haul.”
