      Polaris Off Road

The Polaris RZR Pro R Factory is specifically designed for racing and for achieving victories. This exclusive model, previously reserved for professional teams, will soon be accessible for purchase to a limited group of customers.

The Polaris RZR Pro R is already an exceptional machine, excelling in every area. Our site’s Senior Editor, Caleb Jacobs, compared this high-performance UTV to the equally exciting Ford Raptor. His comparison isn't unfounded; it reflects the reality that you won't fully grasp the true capabilities of either vehicle “unless you have miles of wide-open desert to explore.”

This factory-built racing vehicle raises the stakes even further. When it was introduced last spring, Polaris referred to the RZR Pro R Factory as “the only purpose-built race UTV ever developed.” So far, no competitors have disputed Polaris' assertion. Even if they do, it’s likely that the RZR will outperform them with speed.

The vehicle has been a consistent winner from its inception. The RZR Factory Racing team clinched the SSV class title at this year’s Dakar Rally once again and secured consecutive championships in the SCORE Pro UTV Open class. Clearly, the RZR Racing division possesses significant expertise, which is available to non-factory team drivers.

Beginning this year, the factory-produced RZR race UTV will have a restricted production run of 30 units annually. The 2025 RZR Pro R Factory is designed solely for competition, not for casual use. With a starting price of $139,999, excluding destination and additional fees, it’s hard to imagine someone spending that much just for recreational use. While it’s possible, it’s likely that Polaris—and many desert racing enthusiasts—would be disappointed. For those seeking a thrilling ride at a lower price, the non-racing-spec RZR Pro R, starting at $45,000, offers plenty of off-road excitement without being overly expensive.

For serious UTV racing enthusiasts, the RZR Pro R Factory comes equipped with a ProStar Fury HO 2.0-liter engine that produces 255 horsepower. It's important to note that the non-Factory model weighs 2,480 pounds. The race-tuned version is lighter, thanks to its single-piece, high-strength steel chassis and carbon fiber body panels.

Designed to withstand the toughest conditions, the RZR Pro R Factory features a race-spec MaxLink suspension, Fox Live Valve X2 shocks, and a Dynamix DV semi-active suspension system. It offers traction with 35-inch BFGoodrich tires mounted on Method 407 wheels. Moreover, it includes ergonomic features, such as carbon Kevlar Sparco seats and an integrated steering wheel.

While Polaris will manufacture the limited-run race-spec RZR, sales and post-sales support, including technical assistance and parts, will be managed by partner Scanlon Clarke Industries (SCi). The 2025 RZR Pro R Factory is currently available for customer inquiries.
