CEO Kuniskis hinted at the arrival of more high-performance models.

The 2027 Ram TRX boasts 777 horsepower and reaches 60 mph in 3.5 seconds.

It is equipped with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine and an all-wheel-drive system.

While many people were dealing with hangovers and regretting choices on New Year’s Day, Stellantis was busy unveiling the 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX, described as an “apex predator” aiming for Raptor competition.

However, Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis suggested that the story may not stop there. At a preview event in December, he mentioned that the 777 hp (579 kW / 788 PS) truck “hints at something else coming down the line.”

This is quite intriguing and suggests that the SRT's resurgence is just beginning. However, it remains uncertain whether Kuniskis was referring to a more powerful TRX or something completely different.

We can expect more information in the upcoming months, but the TRX stands out for incorporating a new supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine. The latest iteration is considerably more powerful than its predecessor, offering an extra 75 hp (56 kW / 76 PS) and 30 lb-ft (41 Nm) of torque. It also surpasses the F-150 Raptor R by 57 hp (43 kW / 58 PS) and 40 lb-ft (54 Nm).

The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and comes with a standard four-wheel-drive system. This allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 118 mph (190 km/h). These figures affirm the TRX as the “most powerful production street-legal gasoline half-ton pickup ever.”

Ram's advantages extend further, as the TRX starts at $99,995, in addition to a $2,595 destination fee. While this is not inexpensive, it is $10,935 less than the Raptor R.
