A video captures the Cybertruck rolling onto its side during a left-hand turn.
It is widely thought to be the sole Cybertruck in Uganda.
No official information about the owner, the cause of the incident, or any injuries has been disclosed.
It is always unfortunate when something unique gets damaged. This is exactly what seems to have occurred in Uganda. According to reports, a Tesla Cybertruck overturned while speeding around a local dirt racetrack, leaving it in a severely damaged condition with little chance of recovery.
If the reports are true, this electric vehicle is not only rare in the African nation but was also the only Cybertruck in the country, imported privately and likely a source of pride for its owner until now.

Footage of the incident emerged on social media late last week. Though details are limited, the video captures both the crash and its aftermath.
The footage shows the truck approaching a left turn, possibly taking the corner too sharply. Whether it was due to a berm on the inside of the bend or the weight of the large vehicle trying to navigate a tight turn at high speed, the outcome remains the same.
The Cybertruck rolls dramatically to the right, lands on its side, then flips onto its roof, ultimately resting on the driver’s side. So far, no confirmed information about the owner has been released.
Previous reports suggest that the truck was privately imported by a wealthy individual, but no local authorities, event organizers, or the owner has publicly commented.
Based on pictures and videos from the aftermath, it is evident that the truck will require extensive repairs if it is ever to be back on the road. Almost all the glass is shattered, the roof is significantly damaged, and many plastic components are beyond repair.
Considering that Uganda lacks any Tesla dealerships, it will be intriguing to see if there is any way to salvage the truck. It may be more cost-effective to simply import another one.
The crash site, Garuga Race Track, situated near Lake Victoria, is typically used for casual motorsport activities and recreational driving, rather than professional racing. While most available photos of the track online feature motorcycles, it is apparent that some vehicles, mainly rally-oriented ones, have utilized the course.
Details about surface conditions, speed, and driver inputs are unknown, and there has been no official announcement clarifying the cause of the rollover. Hopefully, everyone involved escaped without serious injuries.
