Ineos is broadening the Grenadier range with the introduction of a new Game Viewer that can accommodate up to nine passengers.

Ineos has unveiled the latest Grenadier Game Viewer, a safari-style off-road vehicle featuring a soft top and adaptable seating that can fit between four to nine passengers.

Set to launch early next year, the Game Viewer comes after a previous concept that attracted significant interest from game reserves and upscale safari lodges throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as from ranches and estates in the United States, Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

This Game Viewer is characterized as a customized in-house transformation, based on both long and extra-long wheelbase versions of the Grenadier. Partially constructed vehicles will be sent from Ineos's Hambach assembly facility to Ineos Kavango in Botswana.

These vehicles will arrive without paint, tailgates, rear seats (apart from the front), side windows, roof covering, trim, or any unnecessary electrical components. They will then be converted into Game Viewers with the capability to seat four to nine rear passengers.

Customization options will also be available; buyers can choose the seating layout, storage arrangement, and roof style according to their needs.

Ineos states that the conversion process does not require any chassis alterations, ensuring the vehicle retains its eligibility for a full manufacturer’s warranty along with factory-supported aftersales service. This should enhance the model's attractiveness and differentiate the Game Viewer from other modifications.

Next month, four units will be put into service at Hiddn Lodge near Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) in South Africa. These will serve as “proof-of-concept conversions,” providing a basis for testing the production version of the Game Viewer.

While the company has not released additional specifics regarding the Game Viewer, the standard Grenadier is equipped with BMW-sourced 3.0-liter inline-six engines. The gasoline version delivers 282 hp (210 kW / 286 PS) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque, whereas the diesel variant produces 245 hp (183 kW / 249 PS) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm).

Lynn Calder, CEO of Ineos Automotive, referred to the new model as “the Grenadier coming full circle,” highlighting the original inspiration for the vehicle by company founder Sir Jim Ratcliffe, which occurred during a safari in Botswana nearly a decade ago.

"The teams at Hambach and Ineos Kavango have collaborated for the past 18 months to bring the Grenadier Game Viewer to fruition as a full production model, and we eagerly anticipate seeing it in operation,” she remarked.
