While the electric N-One e: and the enhanced Super-One may be the stars of Honda’s kei car lineup, the conventional gasoline-powered N-One is still making its presence felt. Honda has provided updates for 2026, adding new features along with a special edition.
The current iteration of the N-One debuted in 2020 and received a slight facelift in 2023. This newest update introduces a 7-inch digital display to replace the previous analogue setup, a contemporary two-spoke steering wheel, and the inclusion of front parking sensors across the board.
Among the various trims, the N-One RS stands out as the primary attraction. It uniquely retains a six-speed manual transmission, while other versions utilize a CVT.
Under the short hood, the familiar 660cc turbocharged three-cylinder engine continues to perform, producing 63 hp (47 kW / 64 PS) and powering the front wheels exclusively. There is no four-wheel-drive option available, adding to its straightforward appeal.
The RS model maintains its sporty appearance, featuring a honeycomb grille with the RS badge, a black front splitter, a rear spoiler, and white 15-inch alloy wheels that evoke a vintage Civic Type R vibe. Buyers can select from colors like Platinum White Pearl, Frame Red, or Crystal Black Pearl, each with a contrasting black roof that complements the overall design.
Inside, the RS preserves its sporty feel with carbon-style trim elements, special graphics for the digital cluster, and Ultrasuede upholstery adorned with red stitching and embroidered RS logos.
The fully-loaded automatic-only Premium Tourer also sports an updated look with 15-inch wheels finished in Berlina Black, a rear spoiler, black chrome accents, and Prime Smooth upholstery for the seats.
New Special Edition
The standout for 2026 is the Craft Style special edition, inspired by a “Scandinavian worldview.” Built on the basic Original trim, it features a chrome grille and white accents on the mirrors, door handles, and wheel caps. The paint options are limited to Seabed Blue Pearl, Fjord Mist Pearl, and Premium Ivory Pearl II.
Inside, the dashboard showcases wood-style trim tastefully paired with Taupe and Platinum White upholstery for the heated seats.
Pricing in Japan begins at ¥1,767,700 (approximately $11,200), with four-wheel-drive versions adding ¥145,200 ($920). The Craft Style edition starts at ¥1,881,000 ($12,000), while the sportier RS with a manual transmission is priced at ¥2,278,100 ($14,500).
