      The Honda Elevate SUV introduces a new ADV Edition in India.

      This edition includes orange highlights, decals, and illuminated cabin trim.

      It maintains the front-wheel-drive configuration with no modifications to the chassis or engine.

      Honda offers a wide range of sub-compact crossovers in various markets, and the Elevate is specifically designed for India. While these vehicles are not primarily intended for off-road adventures, manufacturers have outfitted them to appear as if they are.

      The Indian-manufactured Elevate made its debut in 2023 and has since been exported to Japan, where it is known as the WR-V.

      Honda has now added another variant, the Elevate ADV Edition, targeting a younger audience that prefers urban vehicles that seem ready for off-road excursions. This new version features brighter highlights and a hint of faux off-road styling, enhancing the SUV's rugged appearance without altering its fundamental characteristics.

      Off-Road Appearance, Urban Essence

      The Elevate ADV Edition sets itself apart with a redesigned grille that replaces the horizontal pattern with vertical slits, accentuated by a bright orange stripe. Orange details are seen on the bumper intakes, paired with glossy black alloy wheels and an aluminum-look skid plate at the rear.

      Additional unique features include black and orange decals on the hood, ADV lettering on the front doors, and special badges on the front fenders and tailgate. Buyers can choose from Meteoroid Gray Metallic and Lunar Silver Metallic colors, with an optional black roof.

      The interior carries on this theme with a black headliner and leatherette upholstery stitched in “Active Orange.” This shade is also featured on the door panels, gear shift, and air vents. The highlight is a new illuminated panel on the passenger side of the dashboard, showcasing an ADV terrain pattern that cycles through seven colors.

      The vehicle is well-equipped, including a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, a 7-inch display between analog gauges, an eight-speaker sound system, and a sunroof. Safety features comprise six airbags and Honda’s ADAS suite as standard.

      Although the styling suggests off-road capability, the mechanical specifications tell a different story. The updated appearance package does not involve any changes to the underlying mechanics, meaning the SUV remains solely front-wheel drive, which limits its off-road performance.

      It continues to utilize a naturally aspirated 1.5-liter engine, producing 119 hp (89 kW / 121 PS) and 145 Nm (107 lb-ft) of torque. Power is delivered to the front wheels through either a six-speed manual or a CVT with seven simulated gears.

      Measuring 4,312 mm (169.8 inches) in length, the Elevate shares its platform with the Honda City sedan, which explains the lack of an all-wheel-drive option. However, it does offer a practical 220 mm (8.7 inches) of ground clearance, making it well-suited for the varied terrain of Indian roads.

      What Is the Price?

      The Honda Elevate ADV Edition is priced between Rs. 15,29,000 and 16,66,800 ($17,300–18,800), depending on the selected specification. This positions it as the top variant within the lineup, above the standard model that starts at Rs. 10,99,900 ($12,400).
