A limited edition Pontiac Firebird Trans Am has recently appeared for sale, showcasing minimal mileage, highlighting that nostalgia can come with a hefty price tag.

The Trans Am 30th Anniversary Edition was produced in a limited run of 1,600 units. It features a white exterior with blue racing stripes and matching blue wheels. Inside, Pontiac added white leather upholstery intricately embroidered with contrasting blue details.

For those in search of a new muscle car and willing to spend around $60,000, options like the Ford Mustang GT or the more performance-oriented Dark Horse are likely top contenders. However, if you're looking for something less common with a nostalgic flair, this Pontiac could be just what you need.

This particular offering is a 1999 Firebird Trans Am 30th Anniversary Edition, recognized as one of the standout Pontiacs of the 1990s. It is currently up for sale through Diamond Motorworks in Illinois for $58,800.

While the price may seem high for a vehicle over twenty years old, it has only been driven for 1,426 miles (2,294 km), making it one of the lowest-mileage examples available in the United States.

Pontiac manufactured a total of 1,600 Firebird Trans Am 30th Anniversary Editions, with this one being number 1,333. Its most notable feature is its unique exterior.

Diamond Motorworks has painted it white, complemented by black racing stripes on the hood and rear deck, along with bright blue wheels, a feature rarely seen on other vehicles.

The dealership has not provided details on the number of prior owners or how the car has been stored and cared for over the years. However, it does come with two original keys, books, manuals, service records, and the original window sticker.

The interior of this special edition Firebird reflects the exterior color scheme, with white leather seats featuring blue embroidery that remains as vibrant as it was two decades ago.

Under the hood lies a 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that produced 320 hp when new, paired with a six-speed manual transmission that powers the rear wheels.

Given the price of the Pontiac and its limited use, it’s likely that the next owner may choose to keep it displayed rather than put it to its intended use.

This is unfortunate as a vehicle like this—especially with its eye-catching blue wheels—deserves to be driven on the open road.
