Jeep Is Looking to Exchange Your Fake Monopoly Money for a Genuine SUV | Carscoops
The brand has probably initiated the campaign to help clear out remaining inventory of the 2025 Grand Cherokee.
Jeep is offering a $500 discount on the 2025 Grand Cherokee along with $500 in Monopoly money.
Through the McDonald’s Monopoly game, ten 2026 Grand Cherokees can be won.
The new 2026 model features a larger screen but does not include physical climate controls.
In an effort to raise interest in the Grand Cherokee, Jeep has partnered with Hasbro for a campaign that allows participants to claim an exclusive $500 discount. The concept is straightforward: present $500 worth of Monopoly money at a participating dealership, and $500 will be deducted from the price of a 2025 Grand Cherokee.
While any savings are appreciated, it would have been easier for Jeep to directly discount the SUV by $500, especially since this offer applies solely to 2025 models; however, the marketing team likely has their reasons.
Teaming Up with McDonald’s
The campaign goes beyond social media promotion and includes a collaboration with McDonald’s. The fast-food chain has brought back its long-unavailable Monopoly game in the US for the first time in nearly ten years, offering ten brand-new 2026 Grand Cherokees as some of the top prizes.
Customers who purchase qualifying menu items with peel-off game pieces will have the opportunity to win one of the SUVs. Each game piece also provides a Bonus Play within the app, giving players a second chance to win a new Jeep.
“Not only can Jeep enthusiasts win one of 10 new 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4s by participating in the MONOPOLY Game at McDonald’s, but the Jeep brand is also introducing our MONOPOLY Bonus Cash Allowance program, so anyone can join in on the excitement,” stated Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf.
Jeep has not yet launched the 2026 Grand Cherokee, but it did offer a preview back in May. One of the teaser images showed that the updated model will feature a new grille, fresh trim around the headlights, and a revamped bumper.
Changes will also be made to the interior, including a significantly larger infotainment screen. However, with the addition of this new screen, Jeep has removed most physical climate control buttons and dials.
While powertrain specifics are still unconfirmed, a 4xe plug-in hybrid will definitely be one of the options available. Some reports suggest that the manufacturer might replace its traditional 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
