      Hertz is now selling pre-owned vehicles exclusively online.

      These cars come with a warranty and a buy-back guarantee.

      Customers can choose from a variety of models, including an Escape to a G-Class.

      Hertz is intensifying its focus on used car sales following a notable partnership with Amazon. In line with this initiative, they are providing a “fully online car-buying experience.”

      Aimed at simplifying the car buying process, customers can visit HertzCarSales to “explore thousands of well-maintained used vehicles to fit any budget.” In addition to browsing, visitors have the option to get pre-qualified for personalized payment plans, receive trade-in offers, view protection plans, and buy cars online.

      For customer reassurance, Hertz states that their certified vehicles go through a 115-point inspection and come with a 12-month/12,000-mile limited powertrain warranty, in addition to any remaining factory warranty. Customers will also receive detailed vehicle history and condition reports, along with 24-hour roadside assistance and a 7-day/250-mile buy-back guarantee.

      Currently, Hertz has 87,916 vehicles available for sale, with some priced under $10,000. On the higher end, there’s a 2024 Mercedes G 550 available for around $142,000, along with a Polestar 1 listed at $75,000.

      Hertz CEO Gil West remarked, “Our new e-commerce platform represents a significant advancement in modernizing the way we serve our customers, creating a seamless journey from browsing to ownership.” He noted that this initiative offers “greater visibility into our inventory, simpler purchasing processes, and wider access to quality Hertz vehicles.”

      To promote the launch of online car buying, Hertz has recruited Tom Brady for a new advertising campaign, set to begin airing next month, although the star quarterback shares the spotlight with ‘tube men.’
