The 2026 Subaru BRZ sees a price increase of $2,650 as the base Premium trim is removed.

The entry-level BRZ accounted for slightly less than 10% of total sales, approximately 210 units.

A new Series.Yellow edition has been added to the lineup, featuring unique styling elements.

Subaru BRZ enthusiasts face disappointing news as the company discontinues the entry-level Premium trim and raises the starting price to $35,860. This represents a $2,650 increase over the previous year’s model, not including the destination fee, which has risen from $1,170 to $1,195.

This turn of events is disheartening, but Subaru noted that the Premium trim made up less than 10% of sales in 2025. Given that only 2,107 BRZs have been sold through August, this means fewer than 211 units were sold. This is a small figure, and Subaru’s Bill Stokes commented, “Our streamlined BRZ lineup reflects our buyers’ preferences in a lightweight, performance coupe with technology and creature comforts found in BRZ Limited and BRZ tS trim levels.”

      Limited Leads the Lineup

With the Premium trim gone, the Limited now serves as the base model. It appears to remain unchanged, with pricing steady at $35,860.

To recap, the car features LED lighting and 18-inch wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 summer performance tires. Buyers will also discover a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, an 8-inch infotainment system, and the EyeSight driver assistance technology. Additional highlights include leather and Ultrasuede seats, Brin Naub accents, red contrast stitching, and alloy pedals.

On a similar note, the BRZ tS also remains the same at $38,360, incorporating a Brembo braking system, Hitachi dampers, and several unique details such as Crystal Black Silica accents, blue contrast stitching, and a gauge cluster with cherry red highlights.

Finally, there’s the $39,360 BRZ Series.Yellow, which was launched earlier this month. It comes with a Sunrise Yellow exterior paired with black badging and matte black 18-inch alloy wheels, along with yellow interior accents.

Regardless of the trim chosen, all models are equipped with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine producing 228 hp (170 kW / 231 PS) and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm) of torque. The tS and Series.Yellow are only available with a six-speed manual transmission, while the Limited offers an optional six-speed automatic for an additional $850.
