Aston's $3,000 Baby Stroller Features Wheels Influenced by a $1 Million Supercar | Carscoops
Three finishes are available for the Aston Martin egg3, including one featuring Bitter Chocolate leather and Magneto Bronze accents.
Aston Martin has teamed up with egg to design a stroller inspired by the DBX707. The stroller showcases honeycomb-shaped wheel spokes that draw inspiration from the Valour and Victor models. It can support a weight of up to 55 lbs and is priced starting at approximately $3,000.
Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll co-owns Aston Martin, and his son, Lance, races for the Aston Martin F1 Team. Whether it's due to their family name or simply because Lawrence identified a unique business opportunity, the brand has collaborated with British firm egg to produce an exclusive baby stroller (yes, the pun was intended). Thus, if you own an Aston and wish for your baby to experience a similar ride, now is the perfect opportunity.
The egg3 stroller takes design cues from the DBX707 and, according to the brand, combines a "passion for exceptional design, meticulous craftsmanship, and engineering excellence."
Styled Like a Super SUV
All versions of the egg3 feature honeycomb-spoke wheels inspired by the million-dollar Valour and Victor. The frame is adorned with quilted details that embody the luxurious touch synonymous with the brand. However, maintaining that upscale look during everyday usage may present its own challenges.
Aston Martin is offering the stroller in three different finishes. The first is a green shade accented with subtle racing lime highlights, while the two grey options come with herringbone fabric, one of which includes Bitter Chocolate leather detailing and Magneto Bronze trim. The brand has stated that the egg3 can support weights of up to 55 lbs (25 kg).
Price of Prestige
As with any luxury item, it's no surprise that the egg3 comes with a hefty price tag starting at around $3,000. While this may seem expensive for many new parents, it pales in comparison to the $260,000 MSRP for a DBX707 in the U.S. If one can afford a super SUV of that caliber, the stroller is certainly within reach.
“This collaboration with egg represents a perfect synergy, extending the very essence of Aston Martin into a new chapter of our customers’ lives,” stated Aston Martin's director of brand diversification, Stefano Saporetti. “Just as the Aston Martin DBX brought performance and versatility to family travel, this new stroller will provide parents with a stylish, functional, and high-quality option that delivers the Aston Martin experience to the entire family.”
