Subaru has unveiled two Series.Yellow special editions based on the BRZ and WRX tS models.
Each features a Sunrise Yellow exterior, matte black wheels, and a sporty two-tone interior.
Production is limited to 350 units for each model, with pricing details expected to be revealed closer to their launch.
Sales of the Subaru WRX have plummeted, experiencing a 38.6 percent decline this year, with only 7,499 units sold in the first eight months of 2025. Yet, there is a silver lining as Subaru plans to unveil the 2026 WRX Series.Yellow, a special edition that will have a matching BRZ variant, at Pennsylvania’s Boxerfest.
The special edition, based on the WRX tS, boasts a Sunrise Yellow exterior and 19-inch matte black wheels fitted with Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires. The manufacturer emphasized the "exclusive color," which has appeared on the 2015 XV Crosstrek Special Edition as well as the Japan-exclusive BRZ STI Sport and WRX STI S207.
Besides its vibrant color, this special edition includes Recaro front seats featuring yellow contrast stitching and accents, along with matching details on the door panels and dashboard. It also comes equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.6-inch infotainment system.
Powering the vehicle is a turbocharged 2.4-liter Boxer engine generating 271 hp (202 kW / 275 PS) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque, paired with a six-speed manual transmission and a symmetrical all-wheel drive system. Additional features include STI-tuned adjustable dampers and Brembo brakes.
A Coupe Joins In
For those interested in a slightly less exclusive option, the 2026 BRZ Series.Yellow is available. It resembles the Japanese BRZ STI Sport Yellow Edition and the Toyota GR86 RZ Yellow Limited, which is similar to the 2026 GR86 Yuzu Edition, painted in Yuzu Yellow.
However, focusing on the BRZ Series.Yellow, it features a Sunrise Yellow paint job and 18-inch matte black wheels, which are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires and supported by Brembo brakes.
Inside, buyers will discover a black interior with "exclusive" yellow stitching on the seats, steering wheel, shifter, and parking brake boot, though the term exclusive may be a stretch since this has already been seen in the GR86 Yuzu Edition.
In terms of performance, the coupe retains the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine producing 228 hp (170 kW / 231 PS) and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission alongside STI-tuned Hitachi dampers.
Both special editions will be limited to 350 units, with pricing information to be announced as the launch date approaches.
