2026 GR Supra Final Edition Owner Took "Final" Very Seriously | Carscoops
The swan song of Toyota’s A90 Supra didn’t last long for its latest owner.
This 2026 Toyota GR Supra Final Edition was deemed a total loss following a rollover accident in Texas.
The auction listing indicates extensive damage to the roof and right side, along with deployed airbags.
It still starts, but has “engine burn,” and even with a salvage title, its prospects seem bleak.
Just a few months prior, Toyota unveiled the 2026 GR Supra Final Edition. As the A90 nears the end of its production run, before this special variant could even celebrate its six-month mark, it has been severely damaged. Yes, a nearly new Supra Final Edition is now available at a salvage auction, waiting for an exceptionally brave buyer.
The vehicle, listed by IAAI’s Austin North branch, had an original MSRP of at least $68,650, positioning it above the 3.0 Premium ($60,650) and the base 3.0 ($57,500). Each variant features BMW's 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine that produces 382 hp (285 kW) and 368 lb-ft (499 Nm) of torque, coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive.
Rollover Damage
This specific model is far from being showroom-ready. Auction records reveal that the coupe experienced a rollover incident, resulting in significant damage to the bodywork, a crumpled roof, and shattered windshields.
The right side shows deep damage that extends from the quarter panel through the fender and headlights, with the wheels on that side also in poor condition. The airbags have deployed, and the digital dashboard is non-functional, leaving us unaware of the mileage it accumulated before being declared a total loss.
Despite the extensive damage, the left side appears in better condition than might be expected. Consequently, some components may still be salvageable, provided the buyer has the necessary tools and ample patience. The 3.0-liter engine reportedly still starts, but the listing notes "engine burn" as additional damage, making its condition uncertain. Furthermore, anyone interested in this car will need to wait for the title to be processed.
A Briefly Enjoyed Rarity
This serves as a stark reminder that even rare special editions can fall victim to reckless driving. While a Final Edition Supra might still be available at a Toyota dealership, this red-on-black coupe is likely headed to the parts yard unless a particularly ambitious buyer intervenes.
