Amalgam dedicated over 3,000 hours collaborating with Aston Martin on this model.

The company will produce only 199 Coupes and 199 Spiders of its 1:8 scale Valkyrie.

Each model requires more than 300 hours to put together, utilizing genuine Aston paint and leather.

Those interested can purchase a Valkyrie model with a custom finish for $27,860.

Aston Martin wasn’t obligated to create the Valkyrie; they could have focused on selling their sports cars, GTs, and SUVs, leaving the market for groundbreaking hypercars to competitors like Koenigsegg, McLaren, and Porsche. Nonetheless, we are thrilled that Aston decided to produce the Valkyrie, and for those who missed the opportunity to buy one, there is now a highly detailed scale model of the V12-powered beast available from Amalgam.

Unfortunately, this is not the type of model you'd find in a local Walmart, nor is it something you could assemble from Lego. That’s not the approach Amalgam takes. Instead, the brand focuses on creating upscale, intricate scale models that closely resemble the cars that inspired them, albeit at a smaller size. Consequently, the Valkyrie 1:8 model is not inexpensive.

      Limited Production, Significant Cost

Amalgam intends to construct 199 Coupes and 199 Spiders. The base model, referred to as the Limited Edition, starts at £14,740 or $19,900, while individually crafted Bespoke Editions for both the Coupe and Spider are priced at £20,640 or $27,860 each.

Yes, for a similar price, you could acquire a Ford Maverick or, with just a little more, a new base Mazda MX-5 – not to mention a used Miata or GR 86. But honestly, where’s the thrill in driving something ordinary when you could have a 22-inch Valkyrie tribute for your coffee table?

      Crafted Like the Real Vehicle

All standard Limited Edition models are finished in the same Podium Green hue, while the Bespoke variants can be tailored to resemble the finishes of some of the more outrageous full-scale Valkyries housed in collections globally.

To produce the 1:8 scale models, Amalgam utilizes original CAD designs, paint codes, castings, and CNC-machined materials. Each model measures 22 inches (56 cm) in length and takes over 300 hours to assemble. Amalgam invested more than 3,000 hours to develop the model in collaboration with the British automaker.

For collectors seeking more than just a standard item, Amalgam provides full customization options. “We acquire every technical detail directly from Aston Martin, including authentic paint sample cards and leather swatches, ensuring complete accuracy,” noted founder Sandy Copeman. Each commission receives Aston Martin’s official endorsement. That seems reasonable. If you're already spending nearly thirty grand on a model car, you might as well ensure that the stitching aligns with your imagined garage.
