The 2027 Chevy Bolt has been spotted without camouflage, set to debut later this year.

Although it has been absent for a few years, the “new” model is essentially a refreshed version of the previous Bolt EUV.

The forthcoming crossover will feature LFP batteries and a Supercharger-compatible NACS port.

Chevrolet has launched a teaser campaign for the 2027 Bolt, and now spy photographers have captured the model completely uncovered. However, there isn't much to be thrilled about as it is primarily a facelifted iteration of the prior Bolt EUV.

The vehicle is easily recognizable but sports a new front design with an X-shaped accent. The intake has received an update, shifting from horizontal lines to a more stylish honeycomb mesh pattern. Additionally, the lighting units have minor adjustments, and the nose is more subtle with a smaller bowtie logo.

The profile appears straight from 2022, though we wouldn't be surprised if there are minor modifications, potentially including new wheels and slightly revised cladding.

The prototype was seen testing alongside the Bolt EUV, enabling a straightforward comparison of the rear ends. The liftgate and spoiler seem to be carried over, but the taillights have a more striking design. In addition, there is a more sophisticated bumper featuring extra paint and slimmer reflectors. A thin section displaying a black geometric pattern is also visible.

Chevrolet has not disclosed much about the model, which ceased production in December 2023. However, they recently confirmed it will feature a NACS charging port and "some other cool features."

The Bolt will be based on the BEV2 platform and utilize lithium iron phosphate batteries sourced initially from CATL. This measure has been described as a "two-year stopgap" until production in the U.S. increases.

We will learn more in the upcoming months, but the 2023 Bolt EUV was equipped with a 65 kWh battery pack powering a front-mounted motor generating 200 hp (149 kW / 203 PS) and 266 lb-ft (360 Nm) of torque. This configuration allowed the model to achieve an EPA-estimated range of 247 miles (398 km).

Chevrolet has stated that the Bolt will be their most affordable electric vehicle, positioning it below the popular Equinox EV. The crossover starts at $33,600 before a destination fee of $1,395.
