Land Rover has unveiled the Range Rover Sport SV Carbon ahead of its complete reveal on August 13.

This lightweight special edition includes carbon wheels, a carbon hood, and ceramic brakes.

The twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine generates 626 hp and accelerates to 60 mph in a claimed 3.7 seconds.

Monterey Car Week is set to be filled with new debuts, including the Range Rover Sport SV Carbon, which is described as the "ultimate expression of lightweight performance," featuring a variety of upgrades.

As suggested by its name, the crossover includes the Forged Carbon exterior package, which incorporates several carbon fiber elements such as a grille surround, fender trim, and a carbon-finished exhaust system.

Furthermore, for those looking for a sportier aesthetic, there is an option for an exposed carbon fiber hood. Notably, the vehicle can be equipped with 23-inch carbon fiber wheels, contributing to the overall weight reduction of 168 lbs (76 kg). Customers can also choose an optional carbon ceramic braking system featuring eight-piston calipers available in black, blue, carbon bronze, or yellow.

The carbon fiber theme continues inside, where the cabin features performance seats with carbon fiber backing and illuminated SV logos, along with Windsor leather or Ultrafabric upholstery. Buyers can also expect carbon fiber trim, illuminated sill plates, and extended moonlight chrome accents.

Power comes from a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine that delivers 626 hp (467 kW / 635 PS) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque, allowing the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h). The crossover also features an air suspension designed with “pitch and roll control for optimal stability during cornering, acceleration, and braking.”

Orders for the Range Rover Sport SV Carbon will be open later this year, with pricing details to be announced as the launch date approaches.
