When this Cybertruck went off-road, two of its wheels were torn off.

A nearby towing company needed a crane to bring it back to the roadway.

It’s unclear whether the driver of the Tesla sustained any injuries from the crash.

Earlier this week, a dramatic rescue operation took place in California when a Tesla Cybertruck was extracted from a ravine after going off the road in Cajon Pass. The already unconventional-looking pickup was visibly damaged by the time it was retrieved and likely won’t be fit to drive again.

It is reported that the driver of the Tesla lost control of the electric pickup on I-15 around 3:15 a.m. on July 20. It is not known how the driver lost control so severely, but the vehicle ended up approximately 600 feet away from where it appears to have entered a patch of shrubs off the roadside.

A Challenging Morning for Tow Crews

Instead of recovering the vehicle immediately in the dark, officers from the California Highway Patrol chose to leave the Cybertruck in its position until they could revisit the scene around 7:31 a.m., as reported by VVNG. A local towing service, Armada Towing, was called in to remove the Cybertruck.

A video posted on social media by Armada Towing illustrates that extracting the Cybertruck was quite a challenge. Heavy straps had to be secured around the vehicle before a crane attached to the tow truck gradually lifted it out of its position. It was then raised over the guardrail.

Although the robust stainless steel exterior of the Cybertruck seems to have held up well in the crash, two wheels were detached, and all airbags appear to have deployed. There are no updates regarding the driver's condition, but they reportedly managed to exit through the left rear passenger door, which remained slightly open after the incident.
