It would be challenging to find a 350Z that leaves as strong an impression as this one.

A Nissan 350Z has been listed in Japan featuring a complete front fascia swap from a Toyota GT 86.

The widebody kit and wheels contribute to a striking exterior alteration.

It is being auctioned with 67,000 miles and an initial bid of approximately $4,700.

Here at Carscoops, we have an appreciation for the first-generation Toyota GT 86. Upon its debut in 2012, it established itself as one of the most value-driven sports cars and remains incredibly fun to drive. However, we don’t have such a fondness for the 86 that we would modify the front end of a Nissan 350Z—considered by many as an even superior sports car—to resemble a Toyota, as the owner of this vehicle has done.

This unusual 350Z is currently for sale on Yahoo! Auctions in Japan and possesses some appealing features. First and foremost, the shiny metallic purple color is stunning, and the flared wheel arches are impressive as well. Yet, in typical tuning fashion, once modifications begin, they can often spiral out of control.

The car’s original front fascia has been replaced with that of a GT 86, which includes the headlights, fog lights, bumper, and grille. Additionally, the owner has added a bright red splitter along with matching red side skirts. Although the wheels fit well within the fenders, the candy apple red hue does not pair well with the purple paint. The bronze-colored brake calipers also clash with the overall aesthetic.

The rear of the car might be even more outlandish than the front. A lowered rear window has been installed along with a sizable lip spoiler on the trunk. Moreover, a large rear wing with supports directly attached to the rear bumper has been added, as well as a new diffuser.

Significant modifications have also been made to the interior. The car features a pair of new carbon fiber bucket seats covered in bright red leather, which look fantastic. This red leather motif extends to the door panels, dashboard, transmission tunnel, and steering wheel. In the trunk, there are tanks for the adjustable air ride suspension.

The listing indicates the car has traveled approximately 109,000 kilometers, equivalent to about 67,000 miles. The starting bid is set at 691,000 yen, roughly $4,700 at the current exchange rate. Whether this is an excellent deal or merely an oddity rests on personal preference and how far one is willing to go to stand out.
