The limited edition Lamborghini is anticipated to be named the Fenomeno.
Recently, Lamborghini hinted at an enigmatic limited-edition model set for Monterey Car Week. Only 29 units of this new supercar are expected to be manufactured for buyers worldwide. It is rumored to be named Fenomeno and will be based on the hybrid platform of the Revuelto.
A few days ago, we shared a report indicating that Lamborghini was preparing to unveil another limited-edition model during Monterey Car Week. The Italian company has now released the first teaser image while also commemorating some of its previously crafted special-run models, referred to as “few-offs.”
Details about the new model remain scarce. However, it is believed to be called the Fenomeno (which translates from Greek to mean phenomenon) and is expected to be built on the hybrid Revuelto platform. The teaser image reveals the car covered with a sheet, obscuring almost all of its significant design features.
It is evident that modifications have been made to the front body. The outline of a new bumper and aggressive lines on the hood, absent on the Revuelto, are visible. A more defined shoulder line appears to run below the side windows.
This new supercar may bear similarities to the Reventon and the Centenario, both of which featured custom bodies but were largely mechanically similar to the Murcielago and Aventador, respectively. Production is projected to be limited to only 29 units.
In preparation for the grand reveal, Lamborghini has reflected on some of its other 'few-offs' created throughout the years. The Reventon was the first, manufactured as both a Coupe and Roadster, with a total production limited to just 35 units. Holding the title for the most expensive limited-run Lamborghini is the Veneno, derived from the Aventador, with only three Coupes and nine Roadsters produced.
Other notable limited models include the Centenario, Sian FKP 37, and the Countach LPI 800-4. My personal favorite is the Sesto Elemento, the only true limited-run version of one of the brand's junior supercars. It featured the V10 engine from the Gallardo but boasted a custom carbon fiber chassis and body, weighing merely 999 kg (2,202 lbs). Only 20 units were made, making it extremely exclusive despite being based on the “baby” Lamborghini of its time. It’s unfortunate that the Huracan did not produce a similar model; perhaps its successor, the Temerario, will do so in the future.
