Nissan has unveiled the 2026 Armada NISMO, set to launch this fall.
This model boasts an enhanced twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers 460 hp.
The Nismo iteration features a sportier exhaust system, revised aesthetics, and an improved interior.
The revamped Nissan Armada represents a significant advancement, and the company is not complacent. In fact, they are introducing a NISMO variant for 2026.
Scheduled for release this fall, the model has undergone a sporty transformation that goes beyond surface changes. Nissan has modified the SUV to become the most powerful Armada ever produced.
Under the hood, the optimized twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine generates 460 hp (343 kW / 466 PS) and 516 lb-ft (699 Nm) of torque when using premium fuel. This is an increase of 35 hp (26 kW / 35 PS) over the standard version, achievable through revised engine tuning and adjustments to valve clearances.
In addition to the engine enhancements, the Armada is outfitted with a retuned exhaust that promises a “more evocative” sound. An active sound enhancement system amplifies the exhaust note for those inside the vehicle.
Additionally, the Armada features sportier suspension tuning and a modified electric power steering system designed to enhance driving engagement. It rides on 22-inch forged alloy wheels fitted with high-performance all-season tires, complemented by red brake calipers that suggest its sporty capabilities.
Beyond the performance upgrades, the Armada NISMO has a distinct appearance that certainly makes an impression, whether positively or negatively. The front end features a new design with a taller grille and an updated bumper featuring vertical air curtains. This is accented by red elements, NISMO badging, and a front splitter.
The vehicle also comes with unique fog lights and sport-style side steps, along with a new rear bumper that includes a striking diffuser. Furthermore, the Armada NISMO will be available in several exclusive colors, including NISMO Stealth Gray, NISMO Stealth Gray with a Super Black roof, and Black Diamond Pearl.
Interior enhancements are subtle yet stylish, featuring black leather seats with quilted red centers. Designers have also implemented red contrast stitching, aluminum pedals, a multicolor ambient lighting system, and adjustable side bolsters for the front seats. NISMO-branded headrests and a redesigned steering wheel with a red center stripe are also present.
As for the standard Armada, it seems the only update for the 2026 model is a minor addition: the Armada PRO-4X can now be optionally equipped with second-row captain’s chairs.
