Prices for the Last Call Dodge Challengers are currently above the MSRP but have decreased from their peak last year.

Just 300 Black Ghost editions were produced as a homage to Godfrey Qualls.

A nearly new unit recently sold for $128,000, having recorded only 26 miles.

Even with a downturn in prices, this Challenger achieved a price close to that of the Demon 170s.

Among all the ‘Last Call’ variants of the Dodge Challenger, the limited-edition Black Ghost stands out. Late last week, one sold for $128,000, which is about what low-mileage Demon 170s are currently fetching, despite offering superior performance compared to this specific Hellcat.

Over the weekend, we also reported on a 136-mile Demon 170 that sold for nearly $7,000 under MSRP, arriving at the same price as this base model Black Ghost.

The main attraction of the Black Ghost lies in its exclusivity. Only 300 of this unique Hellcat Redeye Widebody Jailbreak were produced. This car honors the 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE owned by Godfrey Qualls, known for its street racing history along Woodward Avenue in the 1970s.

This particular Black Ghost originally had a price of $100,865 and changed hands with just 26 miles (42 km) on the odometer. The final selling price of $128,000 is impressive, especially considering the Challenger market has generally cooled over the past year.

In late 2023 and early 2024, some Demon 170s were selling for over $200,000, but prices have now stabilized around the $130,000 mark, similar to this Black Ghost. The prices for Black Ghosts have also declined from previous highs. In July 2024, one was sold for $161,500, and another fetched $190,000 in September 2023 with 13 miles driven.

As a Challenger Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak model, this Black Ghost features a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that produces an impressive 807 hp and 707 lb-ft (958 Nm) of torque. While these figures are substantial, they don’t quite match the Demon 170, which delivers 900 hp and 810 lb-ft (1,098 Nm) on regular E10 fuel, and up to 1,025 hp and 945 lb-ft (1,281 Nm) on E85.

All Black Ghosts come with the same Pitch Black exterior, an alligator-pattern vinyl roof graphic, hood pins, a chrome fuel door, and a white rear stripe that stretches across the trunk lid. This distinctive design strikes a balance between aggression and nostalgia, which still resonates with many buyers.
