Although the Polestar 4 was introduced more than two years ago, it is now finally available for purchase in the United States. However, customers will need to wait a bit longer as production of the models for the U.S. market will not start in South Korea until this summer. The electric crossover, which replaces the rear windshield with digital cameras, is expected to arrive in the U.S. sometime this fall.
The entry-level Long Range Single Motor model is priced starting at $56,400 and comes well-equipped with LED lighting, rain-sensing wipers, flush door handles, and 20-inch wheels, along with a panoramic glass roof and a powered liftgate.
Inside, drivers will discover a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.4-inch infotainment system, as well as features like a wireless smartphone charger, dual-zone climate control, and heated front seats covered in MicroTech upholstery. Additionally, there is an eight-speaker audio system and up to 54.2 cubic feet (1,535 liters) of cargo space available.
The Polestar 4 includes a comprehensive list of standard driver assistance technologies, such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Pilot Assist, and Lane Change Assist, along with Forward Collision Warning, Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Information, and a 360° camera system, to name a few.
For those seeking more luxury, there’s the option to upgrade to the Plus Pack, which offers a subtly updated exterior featuring an illuminated Polestar logo and auto-dimming side mirrors. Significant upgrades inside include a heated steering wheel, upgraded front seats, and heated rear seats with a power recline feature. The mid-level variant also comes with a tri-zone climate control system, a head-up display, and a 12-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system.
Regarding options, dual motor models can be enhanced with a Performance Pack that includes 22-inch wheels and a Brembo braking system with Swedish Gold calipers. This package is distinguished by unique chassis tuning, summer performance tires, and golden seat belts.
For 2026, the Polestar 4 pricing in the U.S. is as follows:
Rear-wheel drive versions feature a rear motor producing 272 hp (203 kW / 276 PS) and 253 lb-ft (343 Nm) of torque, powered by a 100 kWh battery pack that provides an estimated combined range of 300 miles (483 km).
The dual-motor all-wheel drive version boasts 544 hp (406 kW / 552 PS) and 506 lb-ft of torque, reducing the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time from 6.9 seconds to just 3.7 seconds. However, this impacts range, with these models offering an estimated distance of only 270 miles (435 km).
In Canada, Polestar has also started taking orders for the new EV, with deliveries expected this fall. Pricing begins at $64,900 CAD and the Canadian model is practically identical to its U.S. counterpart.
