A new Hot Wheels set is set to be released, and it's bound to excite Honda enthusiasts. This upcoming box set is genuinely impressive. It merges Hot Wheels with JDM icons into one ideal package for fans of either or both, and it's presently available for pre-order.

Included in this set are four items and a small stand: a Honda Sakura Sprinter transport truck, a 1999 Honda Civic Type R, a 2020 Honda S2000 20th Anniversary edition, and the iconic 2003 Honda NSX-R. These three cars are essentially the holy trinity for any Honda aficionado, even if one isn’t an actual production model. The truck itself is quite impressive too.

The 2020 Honda S2000 20th Anniversary was never produced in mass; it was a show car meant to showcase Honda’s accessory and parts division. However, its striking design led fans to urge Honda to revive the S2000, 11 years after it ended production. While that revival is unlikely to happen, this die-cast model is the closest anyone will come to owning one.

While the Civic Type R may not appear special to the casual car enthusiast, the first-generation “EK9” model holds legendary status in the JDM scene. This acclaim is well-earned, as it is still considered the best Civic Type R ever produced, boasting a 185-horsepower 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine. At the time, this engine had the highest specific output of any naturally aspirated engine.

Finally, there's the Honda NSX-R. Just before the NSX ceased production, Honda revealed one last version, the facelifted NSX-R, which was nearly flawless for a mid-engine car. It was lighter, more focused, stripped down, and exhibited enhanced aerodynamics compared to the already outstanding standard NSX. Honda only manufactured 140 of these, making ownership of a real one quite rare. However, you can acquire Hot Wheels’ interpretation of it.

Transporting them all is the Honda Sakura Sprinter, a truck modeled after a Hino ZM Series COE. This piece is a collectible in its own right, finished in Championship White to coordinate with the sports cars it carries.

For a Honda enthusiast, this Hot Wheels set is nearly the perfect gift. However, you should act quickly, as pre-orders are already selling out at several retailers.
