After more than twenty years, the V6-powered 350SR receives upgraded headlights and Apple CarPlay.

Nissan has refreshed the Micra 350SR concept to highlight the sixth-generation model.

The vehicle boasts updated styling and an enhanced interior featuring a new infotainment system.

The powertrain seems to remain the same, indicating we can anticipate a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 300 hp.

If you’ve completely forgotten about the Micra 350SR concept, you're not alone; the unique model debuted 23 years ago to commemorate the car’s racing history in Japan. However, it is making headlines again as Nissan chooses to observe its Ni-San anniversary by giving the hot hatch a restomod makeover.

In this initiative, Nissan Design Europe has modernized the 2002 Micra’s appearance. The most prominent alteration is a set of LED headlights featuring semi-circular daytime running lights reminiscent of those on the sixth-generation model.

Additionally, the vehicle showcases a striking exterior that blends satin liquid silver with blue accents, complemented by glossy black details and refurbished 18-inch RAYS wheels. New graphics inspired by the ‘=III 23’ icon, which will appear on the forthcoming Micra and Leaf, finish off the highlights.

The transformation continues inside with newly fitted seats, harnesses, and an infotainment system that, although appears somewhat added-on, boasts a 9-inch display along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Nissan highlighted that it allows drivers to stream music through the car's new speakers.

The revamped 350SR is set to make its debut tomorrow, with the powertrain seemingly remaining untouched. This suggests we should expect a 3.5-liter V6 engine from a Murano. However, it also includes headers from a 350Z, a modified ECU, high-lift cams, and an induction system from NISMO, which earlier helped the original 2,646 lb (1,200 kg) car achieve a robust 300 hp (224 kW / 304 PS).
