Whether you’re passionate about fashion or automobiles, auction platforms have emerged as an excellent means of finding unique items. These two parallel realms within the enthusiast community are converging at the Miami Grand Prix with a major car-and-fashion auction organized by eBay. The auction winner will take home a 964-generation Porsche 911 along with a collection of vintage clothing, with the proceeds being donated to charity.
Model and racing fan Winnie Harlow selected the items that are part of the auction. First up is the car itself—a 1993 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet in white, featuring a black soft top and a black interior. It is powered by a flat-six engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Naturally, it was acquired on eBay and modified using parts sourced from the platform. The modifications include a Fabspeed Maxflo exhaust system, Eibach lowering springs, 9Haus LED headlights, Corbeau front sport seats, and a MOMO Monte Carlo steering wheel.
When you add in the white wheels, this 964 exudes a strong early-1990s Miami vibe. There's even a comprehensive wardrobe included in the auction, featuring Celine wedge knee-high boots, a blue Gucci Jackie bag, and a vintage Moschino leather vest, among other clothing items and accessories that will accompany the Porsche. Is there even enough room in a 964's trunk for all that?
Harlow herself is well-known in the fashion industry, having gained fame after competing on America’s Next Top Model in 2014. Her career path began much earlier, after meeting Toronto journalist Shannon Boodram, who interviewed Harlow in a YouTube video discussing her experience with vitiligo, a condition affecting her skin pigmentation. Boodram has been credited with inspiring Harlow to pursue modeling. Harlow is recognized as a motorsports enthusiast and has participated in racing events around the globe.
As for the car and clothing collection, bidding began at $0.57, chosen because competitors must complete 57 laps to win the Miami Grand Prix, with the auction ending on May 12. However, I suspect the final selling price will be a bit higher. The proceeds from the sale will be donated to Vitiligo Support International, which raises awareness and provides education about the condition. We’re looking at a stylish car and fashionable items being auctioned for a commendable cause, making it tough to predict the final selling price of the package.
