Maserati Introduces Grecale Trim to the Grecale to Remind You of the Grecale | Carscoops
Known simply as the Grecale, the entry-level trim seems to take the place of the former GT variant.
Maserati has unveiled a new basic version of the Grecale SUV.
This trim, referred to as the Grecale, comes with 21-inch wheels and offers up to 325 hp.
New color options and two additional upholstery choices are available for customers.
As the Maserati Grecale approaches its mid-life phase, the brand is implementing changes to keep it lively. In this context, the Italian automaker has announced several modifications to the lineup.
The significant update is the launch of a new entry-level Grecale trim that sits below the Modena and Trofeo. It appears to replace the earlier GT variant, which had a starting price of $69,900 in the U.S. The pricing details for the new base model are still pending.
Maserati hasn't provided much additional information about the crossover but confirmed that it features 20-inch diamond-cut wheels and a premium leather interior with 12-way heated front seats.
In most regions, the base Grecale will be equipped with a mild hybrid 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 296 hp (221 kW / 300 PS). However, in North America and South Korea, it is rated at 325 hp (243 kW / 330 PS).
Ascending the trim hierarchy leads to the Grecale Modena, which boasts the 325 hp (243 kW / 330 PS) engine and larger 21-inch wheels. Buyers will also benefit from an adaptive suspension system, a limited-slip differential, and Matrix headlights.
Customers can also choose the Trofeo, which is powered by a 523 hp (390 kW / 530 PS) Nettuno V6 engine. Additionally, there’s the Folgore version, featuring a 105 kWh battery pack and a dual motor all-wheel-drive system generating 550 hp (410 kW / 557 PS).
Apart from minor updates to the trims, the Grecale now boasts an expanded color selection, which includes 11 shades. More options are available through the Maserati Fuoriserie Programme, which has also added several new choices, including Blu Pastello, Giallo Genio Gloss, Dark Aurora Boreale, and Gold Venus.
The interior modifications are also subtle, but Maserati has introduced a couple of new upholstery options, such as Chocolate leather and Sport Leader Black Blue. Familiar features such as the 12.3- and 8.8-inch displays can also be expected.
