If you're looking for an extremely powerful supercar and prefer not to wait, the Venom F5 appears to be the ideal choice.
A 2023 Hennessey Venom F5 is currently available at auction, and we anticipate bids to reach into the seven figures.
This model has already sold out until 2026, making this auction the only opportunity to acquire one at this time.
The last Venom F5 sold in a public auction fetched over $2 million.
The Hennessey Venom F5 isn’t the type of car you’d find parked next to a gently used Camry at a dealership. It’s an exceptionally exclusive vehicle, with a multi-million dollar price tag and a production schedule fully booked through the end of 2026. Even those with seven-figure budgets might find themselves on a waitlist.
However, if you're not keen on waiting—especially not two years for a car—you're in luck, as one of the limited 24 Venom F5 coupes that are expected to be produced is now available at auction.
This specific example has been used, with the previous owner accumulating over 1,500 miles on the American-made machine, which features a twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V8 engine that delivers up to 1,817 hp (1,842 PS / 1,355 kW) and 1,193 lb-ft (1,617 Nm) of torque. All that power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 7-speed single-clutch automated transmission.
While this amount of mileage is minimal for a daily driver, it’s a considerable amount for a vehicle that is part of such an exclusive category of supercars.
One notable aspect of this F5 is its seats, reported to be the first “Comfort” seats ever included in this model. However, don’t be misled by the name—this isn't an ordinary recliner. The term comfort is relative when seated in a carbon-fiber rocket. The steering setup is more reminiscent of a spaceship than a standard sports car; it’s a yoke rather than a traditional wheel, emphasizing that this car is not designed for casual drives through residential areas.
The Venom F5 is certainly among the most powerful and high-performing production cars globally. In March 2024, it achieved a lap record at the Circuit of the Americas, although it was later eclipsed by Czinger in August by a fraction of a second. Hennessey also set a half-mile record, reaching 221.92 mph (357.15 km/h) from a standstill.
Last year, another Venom F5 appeared at auction and sold for just above $2 million, with only 229 miles on the odometer but also being a year older. It will be intriguing to see how much this one fetches at SBX Cars when the bidding concludes on April 17.
