Police Arrest Motorcyclist Accused of Reaching 190 MPH and Sharing It Online | Carscoops
The individual suspected might still be sharing videos showcasing his reckless driving behavior.
A motorcyclist is accused of uploading footage online where he reportedly breaks numerous laws. Connecticut authorities claim they have charged the alleged offender. If their identification is correct, he may continue to feature videos of his illegal activities.
According to police, they have apprehended a consistently dangerous motorcyclist who is said to have reached near 200 mph (320 km/h) on public roads multiple times, while documenting these stunts on social media. The individual faces several serious charges, yet it appears he may not have grasped the seriousness of his actions, as his account continues to post similar videos.
Authorities in Connecticut are charging a 22-year-old with reckless driving, failure to maintain his lane, and first-degree reckless endangerment. This came after receiving multiple complaints about dangerous motorcycle riding and conducting online research.
The investigation reportedly involved reviewing videos posted online of at least one motorcyclist breaking various laws. “Through investigative procedures, detectives identified the operator as Brice Bennett (DOB 06/15/2002) from Bloomfield. Multiple search and seizure warrants were prepared for Bennett’s social media accounts, asserting he was the individual recording the reckless behavior. The videos showed Bennett riding the motorcycle at speeds exceeding 190 mph,” stated the department.
It’s important to mention that the official arrest record does not disclose the specific YouTube channel or other social media handles involved. However, it provides enough information to speculate on which channel it likely is. For instance, it cites two video titles: “I BROKE MY CBR1000RR-R FIREBLADE SP” and “BMW S1000RR VS RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC.”
Interestingly, a YouTube account named s1krocket seems to showcase both titles. Furthermore, the content of those videos corresponds with the police descriptions. In the report, police noted that comments on the ‘Broke My CBR’ video suggest the account holder is the individual filming.
One significant comment was a response from the s1krocket account to someone questioning, “Video felt a bit shaky sometimes, is the motion stabilizer on?” To which the account holder replied, “Nah I definitely turned it off on accident 🤣” Carscoops found the exact same comment in the same video cited by authorities.
Thus, it seems plausible that the account referenced by law enforcement in relation to the suspect is indeed the same one. If this is accurate, it suggests that the person being investigated might still be actively sharing similar high-speed activities online.
As of this writing, a video was uploaded within the last four days, featuring clips of the camera operator driving over 170 mph during what is described as “Dallas Rush Hour Traffic.” If the suspect is truly the account holder and videographer of the s1krocket channel, it seems he has not chosen to change his ways. Officers likely believe they know which account belongs to him and will undoubtedly use all the evidence they have against him.
