Skoda Elroq RS Teased as Budget-Friendly, High-Performance Electric Vehicle | Carscoops
Skoda is expanding its RS lineup with a new electric crossover.
The company has teased the Elroq RS ahead of its official launch early next month.
This sporty electric crossover showcases a distinct front bumper and stylish wheels.
Inside, it features a flat-bottom steering wheel and seats adorned with embroidered headrests.
Skoda debuted the Elroq last fall, and now they are preparing to launch the all-new RS variant. To build anticipation, they’ve released a teaser video that offers a sneak peek of the electric crossover prior to its debut on April 3.
Set to be unveiled at Milan Design Week, the Elroq RS sports a redesign that includes a high-gloss black Tech-Deck Face and a unique front bumper. This bumper has a sportier central intake complemented by painted triangular accents and horizontal black bars that extend into vertical air curtains.
In addition, we can observe new front fender badging and aerodynamically optimized wheels with a Mamba Green highlight. While the rear design seems to remain unchanged, the blacked-out bumper hints at possible updates.
The interior styling updates feature a perforated flat-bottom steering wheel with vRS badging, and two-tone front seats with vRS embroidery on the headrests. We can also expect a familiar digital instrument cluster along with a freestanding infotainment system that boasts a 13-inch display.
Details regarding the powertrain are not yet available, but the current top model, the Elroq 85, is equipped with an 82 kWh battery pack and a rear-mounted motor that delivers 282 hp (210 kW / 286 PS) and 402 lb-ft (545 Nm) of torque. This configuration allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 6.6 seconds and provides a WLTP range of 361 miles (581 km).
