This 1992 Camaro Z28 has a mere 1,324 miles on the odometer, making it a rare gem for car enthusiasts.
The turquoise exterior is stunning, and the interior appears to be in perfect condition.
It retains its original 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine.
At first glance, this may appear to be just another 1992 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, but this particular model is anything but ordinary. Since it left the Chevrolet factory over three decades ago, it has been driven only 1,324 miles (2,130 km), positioning it as an exceptional time capsule. While there may be a few low-mileage models from the same time period, this one is set to go up for auction this May, presenting an opportunity you won’t want to overlook.

Mecum Auctions has not provided specifics on why the car has such low mileage, only indicating that it has been with its current owner for the last 15 years. Although it’s unfortunate to see a performance-oriented vehicle like the Camaro not being driven, it is exciting to know that vehicles like this exist, ready to be shown to the public.
Condition: Immaculate, Inside and Out
The muscle car is showcased in a striking shade of turquoise, and although only one exterior photo has been released, it appears to be in excellent condition. It shows no noticeable scratches or dents, and the five-spoke silver wheels look flawless. Clearly, it has been stored in a garage throughout its life.
A glance inside reveals the original plastic still covering the seats and floor mats. None of the fabric, leather, or plastic surfaces exhibit any signs of wear. Under the hood is the original 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V8, generating 230 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. With a five-speed manual transmission sending power to the rear wheels, this setup could achieve a 0-60 mph time of approximately 8.1 seconds.
Hopefully, the previous owner started the engine regularly, as leaving a car unused for extended periods is not advisable.

The auction house has shared some pictures of the Camaro’s undercarriage, and while much of it looks excellent, there are some small areas with surface rust, though it does not appear to be significant.
Thinking of placing a bid? You can find the listing on Mecum Auctions here before it goes under the hammer on May 14 at the Indy event. Who knows, you might be the one to finally add some mileage to it.
