2026 Infiniti QX65 Brings Back the Crossover Coupe | Carscoops

Infiniti's forthcoming crossover coupe intends to revive the allure of the FX and will be unveiled alongside the updated QX60.

Spy photographers have captured images of the refreshed Infiniti QX60 and the entirely new QX65.

The QX65 is a newly designed crossover coupe that seeks to bring back the essence of the original FX.

Both vehicles are anticipated to make their debut later this year, equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine generating 268 hp.

Infiniti was one of the pioneers of the crossover coupe trend with the FX, but the brand exited the segment in 2017. Although the QX55 was subsequently launched, it failed to match the charm or success of its predecessor. After a prolonged period of disappointing sales, it will be discontinued later this year.

Nonetheless, Infiniti remains committed to crossover coupes, as spy photographers have captured the first images of the 2026 QX65 during testing alongside the refreshed QX60. The new model is a two-row crossover featuring a sleek windscreen that merges into a sloping roofline.

In addition, it showcases a front fascia inspired by the QX80, complete with split lighting units and a prominent grille adorned with diagonal bars extending from the center.

Specific details are difficult to discern, but the QX65 appears to possess curvaceous rear hips and an angular rear window. The design also includes a noticeable spoiler and a dual exhaust system.

The alterations made to the QX60 are less substantial, with a revised grille and updated headlights. Notably, the headlights do not adopt the split design seen on the QX65, indicating that this may be a relatively minor refresh.

This notion is further supported by the absence of other significant styling changes; however, the rear bumper features camouflage, suggesting it may receive a slight redesign.

As for the interior, it seems to remain largely unchanged. Consequently, it may include a familiar 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster alongside a 12.3-inch infotainment system. The instrument cluster indicates when ProPILOT Assist is engaged, and it is hoped that the QX60 lineup will be upgraded to the latest version of the technology.

For 2025, the QX60 replaced its 3.5-liter V6 engine with a new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 268 hp (200 kW / 272 PS) and 286 lb-ft (387 Nm) of torque. This engine is expected to power both new models and will be paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, along with an optional all-wheel drive system.
