Lexus Unveils LX700h Hideki Edition for Golf Enthusiasts with an Appealing Perk | Carscoops
The Lexus LX700h Hideki Matsuyama Edition will be limited to only 10 units, commemorating the Japanese professional golfer's 10 victories on the US Tour.
This special edition includes a replica golf bag celebrating Matsuyama's 10th US Tour win and its distinct style. It will be available exclusively via a lottery, with a price tag of $114,900.
After making its debut in North America last month, Lexus has recently showcased a slightly updated version of the LX lineup in Japan, introducing the LX700h self-charging hybrid. Japan will also see the release of the Hideki Matsuyama Edition, which is limited to just 10 units.
The Lexus LX700h Hideki Matsuyama Edition is tailored for golf fans. As its name indicates, it honors the achievements of Hideki Matsuyama and marks his 10th US Tour victory, reflected in the limited production run.
The exclusive LX is finished in Manganese Luster, a color chosen by Matsuyama to coordinate with his support vehicle. It features 22-inch black forged alloy wheels. Inside, it boasts white semi-aniline leather upholstery paired with yellow stitching and Black Ash wood accents. The center console displays a plaque with Matsuyama's signature.
Notable equipment includes a Mark Levinson audio system, rear seat entertainment with screens on the backrests, and more. A standout feature is the golf bag, which is a replica of the one Matsuyama used during his milestone US Tour victory.
The special edition has the same specifications as the LX700h, featuring the self-charging hybrid system and recent enhancements to the TNGA-F architecture. It is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with an electric motor/generator, producing a combined output of 457 hp (341 kW / 463 PS) and 583 lb-ft (790 Nm) of torque. Power is distributed to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The Lexus LX700h Hideki Matsuyama Edition is priced at ¥17,000,000 ($114,900). Although it is more expensive than the standard LX700h, which retails for ¥15,900,000 ($107,500), it is less costly than the Executive flagship trim priced at ¥21,000,000 ($142,000).
In Japan, this special edition will be offered through a lottery system, with applications accepted from March 6 to 20. The 10 units of this golf-themed SUV are scheduled for delivery in May.
Hideki Matsuyama became a professional golfer in 2013 and has partnered with Lexus since 2014. His accomplishments include winning a bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and earlier this year, he set the record for the most wins by an Asian player on the PGA Tour in North America. A recent interview featuring him is available on Toyota Times' YouTube channel.
