Looking for a Nissan Z that resembles a blend of a Maserati and a Porsche? | Carscoops
Today is your lucky day as this distinctive Nissan Z build has just been put up for sale, 15 hours ago, by Brad Anderson.
The Nissan 350Z is equipped with Maserati headlights and features a custom-designed front bumper.
While the exterior of the sports car is quite striking, the interior leaves much to be desired.
It remains unclear whether this 350Z has undergone any mechanical modifications to its 3.5L V6 engine.
Replicas of luxury vehicles are quite common. Some succeed in pulling it off without making a fool of themselves, while others raise questions about whether the creators have ever seen an actual car up close. This unusual Nissan 350Z, which blends elements from a Maserati GranTurismo and a Porsche 911, is a unique creation that many might find oddly captivating.
We first came across this curious vehicle back in 2018, and it’s still around today—alive and well, and as our editor found out, available for sale if you're interested and have the funds. Currently located in Japan, it almost appears to be a one-of-a-kind sports car from a new company to anyone other than the keenest enthusiasts. In fact, the only features that reveal it to be a 350Z are the door skins and the roofline—every other part of the exterior has been altered.
A Maserati Meets Porsche Hybrid
The original headlights have been replaced with those from an older Maserati GranTurismo, giving the front a distinct Italian flair. Additionally, the grille has been updated to resemble Maserati styling, complete with the Trident badge. The bumper appears to be a custom design featuring large air intakes and LED daytime running lights. A unique hood has also been created, showcasing a multitude of air extractors and two NACA ducts.
However, it’s not exclusively Maserati-inspired, as the rear adopts elements from Porsche. Enlarged wheel arches have been added to both the front and rear, along with custom side skirts. The back end is almost entirely different from the front, utilizing components straight from a 911, such as the taillights and badge. The images also show quad exhaust pipes and a detailed diffuser.
While the exterior of the vehicle looks impressive, the same cannot be said for the interior. It has been reupholstered in black and red leather and Alcantara with custom stitching and designs. There is also a powerful audio system featuring dual amplifiers and subwoofers.
If you’re interested in this unique vehicle, it is currently listed for sale on Yahoo auctions. The starting bid is 2,500,000 yen (approximately $16,600), with a “buy it now” option priced at 3,500,000 yen, or about $23,300. At this price, you’d be acquiring a car that seemingly has the original 3.5-liter V6, which has a mileage of 89,000 km (around 55,300 miles), so it has definitely been driven. You can view the listing here.
So, what do you think: is the quirky transformation of this Nissan 350Z fantastic or terrible? We’d love to hear your opinions in the comments below.
