Chevrolet reintroduced the Bolt and launched the Corvette ZR1X.

As 2025 nears its end, it’s time to reflect on the last 12 months. A lot has transpired, and we'll begin by asking our readers to share their thoughts on the best new car released this year.
There are plenty of choices, with Chevrolet unveiling the 2027 Bolt alongside the 1,250 hp Corvette ZR1X. Similarly, Cadillac expanded its electric vehicle offerings with the Escalade IQL, Optiq-V, and Lyriq-V.
While Ford and Lincoln didn’t generate much excitement, Stellantis reinstated the Hemi in the 2026 Ram 1500. The company also introduced the new Jeep Cherokee and Recon, as well as updated versions of the Grand Cherokee and Grand Wagoneer. On the luxury side, the MCPura debuted as the successor to the MC20, although it’s primarily a light redesign.
On the international front, Honda launched the new Prelude and an updated Pilot. A new CR-V TrailSport was also released, though it’s less robust than its name implies.
Nissan surprised us with a crossover variant of the Leaf and a notably enhanced Sentra. Additionally, they unveiled a badge-engineered Rogue Plug-in Hybrid, an updated Pathfinder, and a completely new Micra for the European market.
Toyota and Subaru produced several badge-engineered electric vehicles, including the C-HR/Uncharted and Trailseeker/bZ Touring. Toyota also rolled out the new RAV4 and Land Cruiser FJ, in addition to the flagship GR GT.
Lexus, their luxury equivalent, presented an updated RZ and an entirely new ES. A refreshed IS was also revealed, although the V8 engine has regrettably been discontinued.
Completing the array of new vehicles are the Audi Q3, Aston Martin Vantage S, and Mazda CX-5. We also saw the launch of the new BMW iX3 and M2 CS, along with the Mercedes CLA, GLB, and GLC EQ.
These are just a few highlights, but what do you believe was the standout vehicle introduced this year?
