A 2025 Corvette Stingray was sold for $58,500, having only 1,480 miles on the odometer.
The 1LT model does not include Z51 enhancements, yet still delivers the same driving excitement.
Currently, a C8 priced under $60,000 now competes with the cost of a new Honda Prelude.
The market for low-mileage C8 Chevrolet Corvettes is showing signs of decline. While this may not be favorable for sellers, it presents an excellent opportunity for buyers seeking a good deal.
Earlier this week, a pristine 2025 Corvette Stingray with just 1,480 miles was sold for $58,500 on Cars & Bids, despite the starting MSRP of $69,995 for this model year.
Regarding the warranty situation, a new Corvette ZR1 has been flipped for a $70,000 profit.
This particular Stingray is notable as it’s uncommon to find such a basic version with minimal options. Being a 1LT model, it doesn’t incorporate some of the comforts available in the 2LT and 3LT trims, meaning it lacks features like heated and ventilated memory seats, a head-up display, and the optional 14-speaker Bose audio system.
Additionally, it doesn’t include the sought-after Z51 performance package that features enhanced brakes, a new exhaust, modified aerodynamic components, and a more aggressive suspension setup.
While it is the most basic version of the Corvette Stingray available, it still delivers the same exhilarating driving experience as higher-priced models with every luxury feature. For a purist, this simple Stingray 1LT could be delightful.
From Raffle to Resale
This mid-engine vehicle was sold through Cars & Bids after being acquired by the Rotary Club of Tucson in late 2024. It was raffled off last month, making the seller the fortunate winner. In this scenario, they made a clear profit of $58,500, while the buyer secured an outstanding deal.
When considering the performance the C8 Corvette offers, even in its base Stingray configuration, acquiring one for under $60,000 is a remarkable bargain.
It may be hard for some enthusiasts to believe, but there are buyers in the U.S. spending similar amounts on the new Honda Prelude due to heightened dealer markups. While the Prelude is a brand-new model benefitting from current hype, it’s still noteworthy.
The Stingray not only delivers 2.5 times the power of the Prelude, but it also accelerates to 60 mph (96 km/h) approximately 2.5 times quicker, achieving that speed in 2.9 seconds compared to the Prelude’s estimated 8 seconds, or 7.2 seconds if all performance-enhancing techniques are employed.
