Shaquille O’Neal’s customized 2025 Range Rover has gone missing while in transit.

The transport company claims the vehicle theft was due to a hacking incident.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of the stolen SUV.

NBA icon Shaquille O’Neal is well-known for his collection of special vehicles, which is an understatement. At 7'1", he finds it challenging to fit comfortably in a standard car; thus, he regularly requests significant modifications to tailor them to his needs.

Now, one of his vehicles, a $180,000 Range Rover designed to accommodate his size, has disappeared, and authorities suspect it has become yet another victim of an elaborate vehicle transport scam. There have been numerous instances where criminals impersonate legitimate transport services, take possession of vehicles, and vanish without a trace.

In Shaq’s situation, the luxury SUV was in Dahlonega, Georgia, waiting to be transported to a local college football game.

“The vehicle was there for modifications to the front seat area to create more space,” Sheriff Stacy Jarrard told the Dahlonega Nugget. “Then, the towing company picked up the vehicle on October 20th to transport it to the next location.” After that, the vehicle simply disappeared.

According to Jarrard, “It seems to have been taken to a location in Atlanta. We have leads on individuals of interest from that area and have obtained search warrants.”

      How Did It Happen?

While it is uncertain how close law enforcement is to identifying suspects, this type of crime is increasingly prevalent. Several accounts have been reported of high-end supercars and luxuriously exotic vehicles going missing during transportation.

As reported by CBS News, the logistics company assigned to the transport is Effortless Motors, which has worked with Shaq multiple times and is now attributing the blame to the transport company.

“We arranged for the transport, and they claimed to have been hacked and are unaware of who picked up the vehicle,” stated a spokesperson. The transporter in question, First Line Trucking LLC based in Texas, is alleged to have waited until after the SUV's disappearance to report the alleged hack.

The customized Range Rover, while expensive, was deemed reasonably valued considering its modifications and connection to the former NBA star.

“He was hopeful to have the vehicle returned,” Jarrard remarked. “He genuinely wished for someone to be held responsible for the theft and face consequences. We will do everything in our power to make that happen.”
