An Idaho Chevy dealership has launched a promotion featuring guns and flags.
Customers who purchase a new vehicle will receive a $500 credit towards a firearm.
The firearm aspect of the promotion is managed by a local sporting goods store.
As automakers have increased incentives following the end of the clean vehicle tax credit, a dealership in Post Falls, Idaho, has opted for a unique approach. Instead of offering low-interest financing or trade-in bonuses, they’re introducing a bold campaign.
This isn't an exaggeration; they’re actually giving away a gun (via store credit) and an American flag with each new vehicle sold in October.
While this may come off as a cliché, customers have actively participated in the campaign, with numerous buyers posing with a flag and a gun since the initiative began.
The shotgun appears to be used for these celebratory snapshots, as it seems to be the same gun featured in at least five different pictures.

It’s important to clarify that Knudtsen Chevrolet isn’t actually giving away firearms. They’re offering customers a voucher for a free flag and a $500 store credit at Black Sheep.
The latter is a sporting goods store located in nearby Coeur d’Alene, where gun prices are hidden behind a login screen.
New Chevy owners will have a variety of firearms to choose from. While customers might not find much for $500, they could accessorize their new Silverado with a $550 Springfield Hellcat. For those who prefer larger options, they can celebrate their Tahoe with a $950 Colt Commander.
If hunting is more your style, options include a $620 Ruger American or a $700 Remington 700. These are just a few choices, and customers are encouraged to check with the dealership for further details.
