Equipped with a quad-motor setup, it delivers 404 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque for an exciting off-road experience.
The two-door design conceals a four-seat interior adorned with premium leather finishes.
Prices start at $49,950, and the electric range is limited to 140 miles.
Vanderhall is primarily known for its sporty three-wheeler, but it has just introduced an all-new model that stands out from anything previously offered by the brand. The Brawley GTS, an all-electric off-roader, has been in development for a number of years, and customer deliveries have recently commenced in the United States.
The Brawley was first introduced in 2021 and has since transformed into a production-ready vehicle that regrettably cannot be used on public roads. It features some design cues inspired by the Jeep Wrangler, particularly the front grille and circular headlights. However, it generally maintains a unique appearance as a compact two-door model, ideal for navigating narrow trails and desert terrain.
Power from Every Corner
Beneath its exterior, the Brawley GTS is equipped with a 40 kWh lithium-ion battery powering four electric motors, one for each wheel. The total output is 404 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque, which indicates a spirited performance on loose surfaces. An earlier proposal to include a larger 60 kWh battery has quietly been abandoned, leaving customers with the standard option.
Considering the limited size of the battery pack and the available power, it's not surprising that the Brawley's driving range is somewhat unimpressive. Vanderhall claims that it can only cover 140 miles (225 km) on a full charge, so owners should be cautious about straying too far from charging stations.
Despite its compact dimensions, the off-roader accommodates four passengers and appears to be well-equipped, featuring ample leather throughout the interior. One of its standout features is the large glass windows integrated into the door panels.
Initially announced with a starting price of $34,950 almost four years ago, the Brawley GTS now requires a minimum of $49,950 to purchase, highlighting the trend in EV pricing, which seldom remains stable and rarely favors buyers.
